Dylan would be the mother load . Way before his "Christian Period", there are plenty of Biblical imagery, and symbols . I am sure, I have not looked, there are sites , books, that go in depth on this . Michael Grey has written about this, in his Dylan books, for instance . My brain is still too sluggish this morning , but "Tombstone Blues", and "Highway 61", and the entire "John Westley Harding" album abound in the biblical reflerenes ( we were talking about "Watchtower" yesterday ).
As for songs with reference to Sumer itself, maybe some songs with reference to Gilgemesh, Nimrod, The Tower of Babel ...
By the time Abraham left Ur , the old Sumerian culture had be mostly passed on to the newer Semitic speaking peoples , The Babylonians, the Assyrian, and thus to the "Hebrews" .
Enough, I need more coffee ...
